This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows a traditional perahu or small fishing boat (also known as praus with sails) at the New Year Sea Sports, on 1 January 1927. The annual regatta is held at the Singapore Harbour, off Collyer Quay. The Fullerton Building can be seen in the back ground on the left. The construction of the building is nearing completion.
