This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows four Malay kolehs (kolek) or sailing boats at the New Year Sea Sports. The annual regatta is held at the Singapore Harbour, off Collyer Quay. Several buildings can be seen in the background, like the Clifford Pier and the Ocean Building behind the pier. The photograph probably dates between 1935 and 1937. No creation date provided. Title devised by Library staff. Information contributed by Richard Hale.
