This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows a yacht with a crew of eight taking part in the New Year Sea Sports, on 1 January 1925. The annual regatta is held at the Singapore Harbour, off Collyer Quay. Several buildings can be seen in the background, with the Union Building on the right, and the Ocean Building on the left. Temporary sheds housing the Post Office (during the construction of Fullerton Building) can also be seen in front of the Ocean Building. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
