Abstract
In this video, people who knew Ng Eng Teng or have some association with his artworks (such as Ms Christine Khor, Director, NUS Centre for the Arts, Ms Foo Su Ling, Outreach Manager, NUS Museum, Dr. Lai Chee Kien, Dept. of Architecture, NUS and Mr. Ahmad Mashadi, Head NUS Museum) share their impressions on his personality, his contributions to education, and the significance of his work in Singapore's art development, as well as his art. Ng's various art forms such as oil paintings, sculptures in bronze, stoneware glaze and ciment-fondu (his favoured medium) are featured, including his donations of sculptures to NUS Museums and the Nh Eng Teng Gallery. The video ends with a series of his self-portraits. Ng, who was awarded the Cultural Medallion in 1981, passed away in 2001.
