This 2004 photograph shows a side view of City Hall, built in 1929. It shows the side view of the exterior with its Corinthian colonnade and a Singapore flag on the rooftop. Historically, it was the site of the Japanese surrender to Lord Mountbatten in 1945 during World War II, and declaration of Singapore's independence in 1965.
