This is a 2003 side-view photograph of the Merlion statue, taken at night. It is one of Singapore's national icons, designed by Fraser Brunner for the Singapore Tourism Board. Since 15 September 1972, the Merlion statue has been guarding the mouth of the Singapore River at Merlion Park. Exactly 30 years later, it was relocated to its new home at Merlion Pier. Title devised by Library staff.
