This is a photograph of a lady standing next to the small Merlion at the Merlion Park near Clifford Pier. Situated at the mouth of the Singapore River as a tourism symbol, the Merlion cub is 2 m tall and weighs three tonnes. The bigger Merlion weighs 70 tonnes and is 8.6m high. The part-fish, part-lion icon was moved to Marina Bay, in front of the One Fullerton building in 2002. Photograph donated by Low Soi Moi and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_436.
