This 1992 photograph depicts Kallang River, with a view from Lorong Tiga Estate westwards (from footbridge). It shows a view of the river with buildings on either side. Lorong Tiga Estate is no longer found in the present day street directory. Kallang River flows from Peirce Reservoir and is Singapore's longest river. The river is named after the original inhabitants of Singapore, the Biduanda Orang Kallang, who lived in the swamps at the river mouth. Title devised by Library staff.
