This is a photograph from E. A. Brown’s collection. It was taken during the opening ceremony of the Singapore Naval Base's floating dock on 14 August 1929. The image shows Sea Belle II, the Governor’s yacht coming alongside the inner part of the floating dock, having broken the rope across the entrance to the dock. Date of creation estimated.
