Calling those 60 years old and above! What did you think, feel and experience in Singapore’s early nation-building years? Every story is a precious piece of Singapore’s nation-building journey.

In this year commemorating SG60, the Founders’ Memorial wants to hear your story as it pays tribute to you and the pioneering spirit of the founding generation of citizens who came together to shape Singapore into what it is today.

Take a trip down memory lane, share your story and join the Founders’ Memorial in Project Citizens – The First Million.

Session 2: 22 April 2025

Participants should attend both sessions to gain maximum benefit from the programme.

About Project Citizens – The First Million

Project Citizens – The First Million pays tribute to Singapore’s founding generation of citizens.

The Founders’ Memorial will capture stories of Singapore's founding generation of citizens. Through these stories, Singaporeans are invited to reflect on the values we share as citizens of multicultural Singapore, in our early nation-building years and into the future.

 About the Founders’ Memorial

The Founders’ Memorial honours independent Singapore’s founding values and nation-building journey. Opening at Bay East Garden in end 2028 as an integrated garden and gallery experience, it presents the story of how our founding leaders and generation built independent Singapore, establishing it on values and ideals such as multiculturalism, openness and integrity. The Memorial aims to spur Singaporeans to reflect on our founding values and draw inspiration for Singapore’s future.
