2005年应扬琴演奏家瞿建青之邀而作。乐曲短小精干，基本分为前奏，快板，稍慢板，快板以及尾声等五段。以富有怀旧感觉的五，六十年代同名儿歌《读书郎》的主旋律动机为基础，并揉合调式音阶与多调性五声音阶以及即兴等写作技法和方式展开。
