Co-Creation Community Art Project
In NLB’s Paradise in Your Hands (PIYH) sessions, youths will be paired up with seniors to explore the concept of "home", producing clay sculptures under the guidance of local artist anGie seah. The final pieces are currently on display as an art exhibition at Level 4 of the Punggol Regional Library.
Session 1 - Intro & Conceptualisation
Our volunteers from Heartware Network and the seniors from St Luke's Eldercare Centre meet each other for the first time. Basic clayworking techniques are introduced as well as preliminary discussions on the concept of home.

Session 2 - Clay Building #1
In this session, we delve into a further exploration of clayworking techniques as well as an introduction to assembling the clay parts together.

Session 3 - Clay Building #2
It's time for our participants to create the main structure and base of the clay sculptures, as well as to assemble the various components together.

Session 4 - Field Trip
In this field trip session, our participants will travel to the oldest surviving Dragon Kiln in Singapore to explore the interior and fire their clay sculptures.

Session 5 - Show & Tell
Participants will gather together to celebrate and give conclusion to this project, engaging in a Show and Tell night where the clay sculptures will be on display.
