Mr. Runme Shaw, a prominent philanthropist, founder and Chairman of the Shaw Organisation and Shaw Foundation, seated in a cinema. He and his brother, Sir Run Run Shaw, were prominent names in the movie industry in the Southeast Asia. Runme Shaw was also Patron of the YMCA (1981-1984); Chairman of the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board (1969-1976), St. John Council (1966-1971) and the Singapore Turf Club (1964-1982).
