This is a photograph of a remote village in Tuas jetty. In the foreground are boats and sampans used for the transportation of wooden logs. In the background is a typical kampong with a cluster of attap houses. It was usual to find wooden stilt houses for rural structures built near the sea. Photograph donated by Tan Marilyn and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_496. Title devised by Library staff.
