This 1965 photograph shows a child seated on a bicycle in the Padang. Shown in the background of this picture is a general view of City Hall, decorated with billboards to celebrate Singapore's first National Day in 1965. A handwritten caption in Chinese (roughly translated into English as "Singapore separates from Malaysia") can be seen on the side of the photograph. Photograph donated by Khoo Twon Yong and displayed at Heritage Roadshow 2007. Title devised by Library staff.
