Information About
This 1969 photograph shows a man seated behind a counter at the Lai Wah Restaurant. The man looks forward, with his hands placed on an open book on the counter. The restaurant's signboard ("丽华酒家" or "Lai Wah Restaurant") is seen prominently on the wall behind the counter. A selection of alcoholic beverages is also on display behind the counter. Started in the 1960s, the restaurant was originally located at Jalan Besar. Photograph donated by Tang Kian Cheong and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_292.
