This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Lee Yock Suan, Deputy Chairman of People's Association, who served from 1984 to 1991. He was Minister of State for National Development (1981-1983) and Finance (1983-1984); Acting Minister for Labour (1985-1986); Minister for Labour (1987-1991), Education (1992-1997), Trade and Industry (1997-Jun 1999), the Environment (Jun 1999-2000), Information and the Arts (Jun 1999-2001), and Prime Minister's Office (2001-2005); Second Minister for Education (1991), Finance (1997-1999) and Foreign Affairs (2001-2005); Chairman of Singapore Badminton Association (1992-1994) and Singapore Labour Foundation (Jan 1997-Feb 2002); and People's Action Party Member of Parliament for Cheng San (1980-1988), Cheng San GRC (1988-2001) and East Coast GRC (2001-2006).
