Pictured here is Mr. S. Varathan, a National Arts Council Cultural Medallion Recipient in 1984. He formed the Singapore Indian Artistes’ Association, compiled his drama experiences in books, researched on the development of Tamil theatre in Singapore, in addition to taking on the role as an advisor guiding the younger generation.
