This is a pre-1914 photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows four young Chinese squatting down (in the foreground), eating food from street hawkers. A crowd of children are seen in the middle ground, with some of them dressed in school uniform and straw boater hats. A building with pointed arch windows can be partially seen in the background. No date of creation provided. Title devised by Library staff. Information contributed by Richard Hale.
