Information About

This photograph shows the entrance to Singapore Swimming Club, with its covered porch. The club was established in 1894 at Tanjong Rhu by a group of Europeans. In 1994, the club celebrated its 100th anniversary with the opening of a new facility at the same site. Today, the Club offers a range of social and sporting events for its members. It is a far cry from being an exclusively European club that it was earlier. Title devised by Library staff.
