An advertisement by Tay Buan Guan Limited featuring the three-storey Katong Shopping Centre at 83, East Coast Road. The shopping centre was officially declared open by Mr. Soon Peng Yam, President of Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce, on 21 January 1967. Occupying the ground floor was the Tay Buan Guan Supermarket. A new Katong Shopping Centre was built later at 865, Mountbatten Road.
