This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Dr. Cecil Chew Chin Hin, the ninth Master of Academy of Medicine in Singapore from 1973 to 1975. He served as Head of Medical Unit IV and later Medical Superintendent at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (1979-1981); Deputy Director of Medical Services (1981-1991); and Deputy Director of School of Postgraduate Medical Studies at National University of Singapore (1994). He was conferred the Public Administration Gold Medal in 1982 for his contributions to medicine, research and medical education; and the Long Service Medal in 1991. His father, Dr. Benjamin Chew (b.1907-d.1994), was a physician at Outram Road General Hospital (1930-1942). Title devised by Library staff.
