Information About

This 1982 photograph depicts Lorong 42 Geylang, at the junction of Geylang Road. It shows a street with two-storey shophouses at the corners. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
