"THANK YOU NUHEROES. Ever wonder who provides frontline healthcare workers with their “armour” in the fight against COVID-19? At the National University Hospital, the Materials Management Department (MMD) takes care of that, making sure there is a steady supply of personal protective equipment and medical supplies in all patient care areas. MMD manages over 2,600 items in its inventory. Not only does MMD monitor the supply levels, the team also packs and delivers items from the MMD store to 30 locations in the hospital grounds. To fulfil requests during this period, the team resourcefully seeks out alternative suppliers of high-demand items and makes more trips to replenish supplies, demonstrating service with resilience."--Contributed by National University Hospital, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call.
