This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Venerable Yen Pei alias Li Bao Liang, in monk robes with rosary beads. He was Chief Abbot of Leng Feng Puti Buddhist Institute (1963-1968); founder of Grace Lodge Home for the Aged at 105, Punggol Road (1985); President of Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services (1981-1988); and Chief Abbot of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (Bright Hill Temple) (1991-1994). He was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the Government of Singapore in 1986. Title devised by Library staff.
