This is an exterior view of the Istana, located at Kampong Glam. The Istana Kampong Glam is a two-storeyed former palace, built by Sultan Hussein Shah of Johor in 1819. There are yellow French windows above the porch with arched entrances. The gates are also painted yellow, which is the colour of Malay royalty. Title devised by Library staff.
