This is a view of the octagon-shaped Chinese pavilion amidst landscaped greenery in the Yunnan Garden of Nanyang University in Jurong. The campus was built on land donated by Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan with the ground-breaking ceremony officiated by Mr. Tan Lark Sye, a businessman and philanthropist, on 26 July 1953. The university began classes on 15 March 1956. Title devised by Library staff.
