A picture of the Pulau Saigon Bridge spanning the Singapore River with blocks of HDB flats in the background. The original Pulau Saigon Bridge was built in 1890. It was demolished in 1986 due to the development of the Central Expressway. It was rebuilt in 1997 as a vehicular bridge that crosses Singapore River and links Havelock Road to Robertson Quay.
