This 1995 photograph shows the former Hill Street Police Station, at the junction of Hill Street and River Valley Road. Some of the neo-classical style building's architectural features include cantilevered balconies, rusticated façade and a pedimented entrance flanked by circular and rectangular columns. Opened in 1934, it was the largest government building in Singapore during the 1930s. Today, it is home to the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts (M.I.C.A).
