It shows children holding British flags awaiting the arrival of H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, who was on a two-day visit to Singapore on 31 March and 1 April 1922. This event was known as the ‘Children’s Corner’, and was held on the grounds opposite St Joseph’s Institution bounded by Queen Street, Bras Basah Road, Waterloo St. and Stamford Road, on Friday 31 March.
