A row of 4-storey Art Deco shophouses with plaster ornamentation, geometrically shaped decorative elements and ornately carved capitals can be seen on the right. Former Tao Nan School can be partially seen at the end of the street, in the background. Loke Yew Street is named after Chinese businessman Loke Yew, the father of Cathay Organisation chairman Loke Wan Tho. Title devised by Library staff.
