A diagram illustrating the organisation structure of Yayasan Mendaki. MENDAKI was established as "Majlis Pendidikan Anak-anak Islam Singapura" or the Council on Education for Muslim Children in 1982. It was incorporated as a charitable company in 1989 and was known as "Majlis Pembangunan Masyarakat Islam Singapura" or Council for the Development of Singapore Muslim Community.
