Information About
This picture depicts men in Western suits who were members of Singapore Tailors Association where donor, Mr Tiong Chin Heng was a director. The ceremony was to mark the association's 6th Anniversary and its contribution to the National Defence Fund. Also present are new employees. Tailoring was a skill that provided a source of income for some. The formation of trade associations was common. Photograph donated by Quek Tar Hiah and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008.
