This photograph shows a night view of the Central Fire Station located at Hill Street, as seen from across the road. The station has been an active fire station since 1908. The red brick building has a colonial-style architecture with a tower at the back and balconies on the second floor. On the left, there is a sign on the wall which reads "Civil Defence Heritage Gallery". Description by Library staff.
