This photograph shows the UOB Plaza towering over the bumboats and shophouses along the Singapore River. The Asia Insurance Building (now known as Ascott Singapore Raffles Place) and Ocean Building can be seen in the background. The Chartered Bank building is on the left of UOB Plaza. Completed in 1973, the UOB Plaza underwent a facelift in 1995 to have the same façade as its sister building. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
