This 1992 photograph depicts Lorong 36 Geylang, towards Guillemard Road. It shows a tree-lined street with houses just visible to the left of the photograph. There is a lorry which is parked in a parking lot to the left of the road. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
