This picture depicts the facade of the three-storey Sea View Hotel behind the coconut plantation at Meyer Road in Tanjong Katong. The beach hotel was very popular with the European community between 1906 and 1962. In the 1960s, the hotel was demolished to make way for a new hotel bearing the same name. The hotel ceased operations in 2003 and the site was redeveloped into The Seaview, a luxury condominium, which was completed in 2008. Title devised by Library staff.
