This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Professor You Poh Seng (游保生), Executive Director of the Singapore Institute of Management from 1979 to 1996. He was Senior Lecturer at University of Singapore (1950-1958); Chairman of the Census Planning Committee (1957); Director of the Economic Research Centre at National University of Singapore or NUS (1965-1973); Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS (1969-1971); Head of Department of Economics and Statistics and Director of NUS School of Accountancy and Business Administration (1971-1979); and Consultant to the International Labour Organisation (1974-1984).
