This is a view of the minaret of Aminah Mosque (Masjid Aminah) at Sims Avenue in Geylang. The original mosque was built and completed in January 1960 and named after the benefactor, Madam Guldjan bte Dhagoo alias Minah Palembang. It was demolished in 1971 to make way for the widening of Sims Avenue to Jalan Eunos. A new mosque was built near the original site and was declared open by Haji Sha'ari Tadin on 12 June 1971. Darul Aman Mosque was built at 1, Jalan Eunos to replace the demolished mosque in 1986. Title devised by Library staff.
