This is a pre-1914 photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows the statue of Sir Stamford Raffles erected on the Esplanade (now Padang) and unveiled on 16th June 1887. The statue was relocated in front of the Victoria Memorial Hall in 1919. No date of creation provided. Title devised by Library staff. Information contributed by Richard Hale.
