Panoramic view of office buildings from Cross Street. On the foreground stood Telok Ayer Market (later "Lau Pa Sat") with its tiled roof and clock tower. On the extreme right along Robinson Road stood 26-storey Octagon Building. On the left along Shenton Way stood 24-storey Robina House, 24-storey Shenton House, and 40-storey UIC Building. Directly behind the market are 10-storey ICB Building and the four-storey curved red tiled roof of Telecoms Building or TAS Building (later Ogilvy Centre) with its neo-classical style and large decorative ionic columns at the corner of Boon Tat Street and Robinson Road. Further back facing Shenton Way are 23-storey Shing Kwan House and 50-storey DBS Tower Two. Further back facing Robinson Road are 45-storey CPF Building, and 52-storey Singapore Treasury Building.
