The picture shows people in row-boats reaching an island belonging to Singapore. Shown in the background are people resting under a zinc-roofed wooden shelter. The canoe-like boats are propelled by oars with one men standing up near one end of the boat rowing and ferrying passengers who commute between Singapore's offshore islands and the mainland.
