This 1986 photograph shows the entrance to New World Park at Jalan Besar (from Plumer Road). Jalan Besar is off Lavender Street. New World Park was an amusement park that attracted Singapore night crowds. It was set up in 1923 and closed down in 1987. Title devised by Library staff.
