This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Alexander Chan Meng Wah, Managing Director of the Hewlett Packard Singapore Private Limited from 1991 to March 1995. He joined HP in 1980 as Financial Analyst. He was Singapore Swimmer of the Year (1968-1969); Deputy Chairman (1990-1991) and later Chairman of the Singapore Federation of the Computer Industry (1992); Member of the Economic Development Board (Feb 1993-1994); Managing Director and CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng (Mar 1995-1999); Executive Director of the MMI Holdings (Mar 1997-2004); Member and later Chairman of the Singapore Sports Council (2002-to date). His father, Dr. Chan Ah Kow was winner of the Coach of the Year for three times. His sister, Miss Patricia Chan Li-Yin, was national swimming champion and winner of the Sportswoman of the Year for five times. TItle devised by Library staff.
