This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection, taken on 15 February 1924. The Royal Naval Special Service Squadron made a stopover in Singapore for a few days, while on a world cruise. The Squadron consisted of two battle cruisers, HMS Hood and HMS Repulse as well as five light cruisers Delhi, Dragon, Dunedin, Danae and Dauntless. This photograph shows some of the contingents from the Squadron marching past the Hotel de l’Europe with the Court House in the background. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
