This is a façade of C.K. Tang Limited, a shopping centre at 310, Orchard Road. Built by Mr. Tang Choon Keng (b.1901-d.2000), a businessman, in 1958, it was modeled after the Imperial Palace of the Forbidden City in Beijing, China. The building, also known as "House of Tang", was demolished in 1982 to make way for a new building (Tangs Plaza). Title devised by Library staff.
