He was Chairman of Pan-Malaysia Paint Industry Limited (1962-1965) and later Director of Nippon Paint (Singapore) Company Private Limited (1965-1975); and Director of National Steel and Iron Mills Limited (1964), Malayan Iron and Steel Mills Limited (1968) and Decola (Singapore) Limited (1968).
