This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Dr. Lim Chan Yong (林振杨), a dedicated family physician and the founding President of Singapore Action Group of Elders or SAGE (1977-2004). He was appointed a Justice of the Peace (1979); Committee Member of Board of Visitors for Welfare Homes; Member of Management Committee of Woodlands Home for the Aged and Board of Management of People's Association (Apr 1979-1990); and Chairman of Serangoon Garden Secondary School Advisory Committee (1999). He was conferred the Public Service Star and the Public Service Star (Bar) in the 1983 and 1999 National Day Awards respectively. TItle devised by Library staff.
