Information About

This 1960s photograph shows a man standing next to a parked cigarette van with white roof, owned by Pall Mall Export, in a car park. Singapore’s ban on tobacco advertising, meant to discourage smoking, came into effect on 1 January 1990. The prohibition of advertisements which mention or depict the name or trademark of tobacco products included vehicles. Donated by Neo Siok Leng, at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_452.
