This is a group photograph of Chinese Buddhist women taken at the birthday celebration of Guan Yin at the Guan Yin Association in Admiralty Road in 1956. The women are dressed in traditional costumes. Behind them, there is a getai (stage) with a banner that read as "观音宝诞" (Birthday of Guan Yin).
